For singer / songwriter Fiona James, music is life, itself.
Whether it’s curling-up in a comfortable chair on a cold day, watching fireworks explode at the end of a perfect night, crying angry tears of loss and regret, or feeling the electricity of new love dance across your skin…each experience finds voice in the raw emotion and unexpected depth of Fiona’s music and lyrics. An accomplished musician in her own right, Fiona plays piano, guitar, flute, and baritone sax, and she has studied voice for the last eight years with Ms. Lauren Canna at AfterSchool Music. Her talented singing has been recognized by the All-South Jersey choir for the last six years, the All-State New Jersey choir for the last three years, and three of Fiona’s original songs have featured in the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival. This knowledge and passion for music has helped Fiona imbue her original compositions with a complexity and maturity rarely seen in other songwriters her age. With a sound influenced by Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, and Taylor Swift, Fiona is finding her own voice while still composing the soundtrack of her life—telling a story that resonates with anyone searching for connection, authenticity, and hope. |
